— Experts Who Understand Water —
About Our Team
The Dallas Drainage Pros family is close, consistent and continuing to grow...
These are the people who uphold and protect the Dallas Drainage Pros standard. Behind every successful project is a team of leaders who take ownership of the design, the details, and the final outcome. Our standard isn’t just about installing drainage systems. It’s about diagnosing problems correctly, engineering practical solutions, and executing with precision. It’s about doing the job right the first time — with integrity, technical accuracy, and long-term performance in mind.
The leaders below set that tone every day. They train our crews, oversee our installations, and ensure that every project reflects the quality and accountability our clients expect. Their experience, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence are what separate Dallas Drainage Pros from other companies that “also do drainage.”
This is the team that protects our name — and your property.
John Keathley, Founder and Owner
John has a lifelong background in landscaping and an entrepreneurial drive that ultimately led him to recognize a gap in the Dallas market: homeowners and builders needed a company that truly specialized in understanding water and solving complex drainage problems — not simply installing pipe.
John founded Dallas Drainage Pros with that singular focus. He built this company from the field up while developing the technical standards, installation practices, and problem-solving approach that continue to guide the team today. Over the years, that vision has grown into a team of full-time professionals dedicated exclusively to drainage, waterproofing, and stormwater mitigation.
As owner, John remains closely involved in the company’s technical direction, culture, and growth. He believes in doing right by both customers and employees, building a team that shares in its success, and never sacrificing long-term performance for a short-term solution.
John lives in Garland with his wife, Shelly, who is expecting their first child together. As a soon-to-be dad, John continues to push Dallas Drainage Pros toward setting a higher standard for drainage in North Texas, and building a company that will stand the test of time.
Zac Martin, Head of Sales & Assessments
Zac brings a natural problem-solving mindset to Dallas Drainage Pros and an exceptional ability to understand the many variables involved in drainage and stormwater mitigation. Since joining the company, he has developed a deep technical understanding of how surface water, groundwater, grading, structures, and existing site conditions interact.
As Head of Sales and Assessments, Zac’s job goes far beyond identifying where water is collecting. He looks at the property as a complete system — evaluating why the problem is occurring, anticipating variables that may not yet be obvious, and developing solutions that are both technically sound and practical to construct.
That ability to think several steps ahead makes Zac especially valuable on complicated properties and larger-scale projects. He communicates complex issues clearly to homeowners while working closely with our project team to ensure that what is proposed can be executed successfully in the field.
Outside of work, Zac and his wife are growing their family and raising their two young boys.
Angel Ramos, Field Supervisor
Angel has been alongside Dallas Drainage Pros founder John Keathley since the company’s earliest days and has played an integral role in developing the standards and workmanship the company is known for today.
With extensive hands-on field experience, Angel understands drainage from the ground up. His expertise spans surface water management, groundwater interception, deep French drains, waterproofing, grading, and the many construction details that determine whether a system performs reliably for years to come. He is meticulous about slope, materials, installation methods, and the sequencing required to turn a good design into a successful finished project.
As Field Supervisor, Angel oversees field execution and leads our installation teams with consistency, patience, and accountability. His ability to solve problems in real time while never losing sight of the larger system makes him an invaluable resource on complex installations.
More than his title suggests, Angel is foundational to the quality, integrity, and reputation of Dallas Drainage Pros — and to the standard we expect on every jobsite.
Henry Cobb, Project Manager
Henry brings a lifetime of construction experience to Dallas Drainage Pros and a broad understanding of how complex projects come together from beginning to end.
Before moving to Texas, Henry was a licensed general contractor in California, a credential that required certification across seven different construction trades. That breadth of knowledge gave him an exceptional understanding of project flow, construction sequencing, and the coordination required when multiple contractors and trades are involved.
At Dallas Drainage Pros, that experience is particularly valuable on complex installations where drainage, excavation, grading, waterproofing, irrigation, hardscaping, and structural considerations may all intersect. Henry has the ability to see the project as a whole, anticipate conflicts between phases, and help ensure the work progresses in the proper sequence. His practical construction knowledge and project-management experience add another layer of expertise to our team.
Outside of work, Henry is big on family and especially enjoys spending time with his nieces and nephews. He lives in Allen with his wife, Heather, who is a school teacher.
Donnie Saunders, Project Operations & Fleet Manager
Donnie brings nearly a decade of experience at DFW International Airport, where he worked across numerous phases of maintenance, repair, and construction in an environment that demanded safety, coordination, and attention to detail.
During his time at DFW, Donnie earned his Class B CDL and chemical spray license, became FAA certified, operated heavy machinery, managed equipment, and helped coordinate teams completing routine maintenance and construction projects. That experience developed one of his greatest strengths: an uncanny ability to recognize potential issues before they become problems.
At Dallas Drainage Pros, we lean heavily on that instinct. Donnie is relentless about improving the systems and operational aspects of both our business and our installations. Whether coordinating equipment, evaluating a jobsite, or finding a more efficient way to complete a task, he is constantly looking for ways to make our operation better.
In Donnie’s words, he’s willing to “go above and beyond” to get the job done and adapt to whatever the situation requires. Outside of work, he is an avid golfer who enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Alyssa Franklin, Business Operations Manager
Alyssa sets the organizational standard Dallas Drainage Pros. As Business Operations Manager, she helps connect the many moving pieces required to take a project from the first customer interaction through scheduling, installation, billing, and completion.
Working across nearly every part of the company, Alyssa coordinates information between clients, assessments, project teams, scheduling, and management. Her organization and attention to detail help ensure that customers know what to expect and that our field teams have what they need to execute successfully.
As Dallas Drainage Pros has grown, Alyssa’s role has grown with it. She has become instrumental in developing and improving the systems and processes that allow us to operate efficiently at a larger scale while maintaining the responsiveness and accountability our customers expect. Her ability to anticipate needs, solve problems, and keep people aligned makes her an invaluable part of our day-to-day operation.
Outside of work, Alyssa and her husband stay busy raising their young daughter, bringing the same patience, dedication, and care to family life that Alyssa brings to our team.
Brooke Hoese, Client Services & Admin Coordinator
Brooke brings a unique combination of communication, organization, and small-business experience to Dallas Drainage Pros. Before joining the team, Brooke helped manage and develop a struggling coffee shop into a thriving local business — experience that required balancing customer service, day-to-day operations, team coordination, and the countless details necessary to keep a growing business moving forward.
As Client Services & Administrative Coordinator, Brooke helps ensure that what Dallas Drainage Pros offers is communicated clearly and that the tasks behind each customer experience are properly coordinated, scheduled, and completed on time. Brooke’s rigorous approach to communication and follow-through helps bridge the gap between what is promised and what gets done, supporting both our customers and our team behind the scenes.
That combination of creativity and organization makes Brooke especially well suited to a role where details matter, priorities constantly shift, and effective communication is essential.
Outside of work, Brooke is a writer and musician who enjoys spending time in nature and giving back through volunteer work in the community.
Our Installation Team, The Backbone of Our Operation

This is not side work for our team. It is what they do every day.
Our crews are trained in the specific challenges of North Texas soil conditions — dense clay soils sitting over caliche bedrock — and they understand how water behaves both above and below ground. That understanding is critical when installing systems designed to protect foundations, basements, plumbing, and outdoor spaces for the long term.
What Sets Our Installers Apart
Precision Installation Standards
Every pipe is installed with a verified minimum 1% slope. Footer-depth French drains are installed on the uphill side to intercept groundwater before it reaches the foundation. Clean-out access points are incorporated throughout the system so it can be inspected and maintained for years to come.
Materials That Last
We install smooth-wall PVC sewer and drain pipe as our standard, with SDR-35 high-density pipe recommended where structural strength is critical — such as under homes or hardscape areas. We do not use corrugated pipe, because long-term performance matters.

Our installers understand that a drainage system should not just work on day one — it should be cleanable and inspectable in the future. That means sweeping directional fittings (no hard turns), accessible clean-outs, proper gravel backfill using 1–2” clean crushed concrete or washed drainage rock, and a 4 oz non-woven geotextile fabric barrier to protect the system from sediment intrusion.
Grading Matters
Our team also understands that pipe alone does not solve drainage. Proper grading is essential. Soil must provide visibility of the foundation (minimum 4”), a 5% slope away from the home, and a clear discharge path with at least 1% overall slope to a safe exit point.
Waterproofing Expertise
For basement waterproofing systems, our installers are trained in a multi-phased, “belt-and-suspenders” approach suitable for Dallas conditions. From footer-depth French drains using SDR-35 pipe, to liquid-applied elastomeric membranes, drainage mat installation, gravel backfill separation, sump pump configuration, and alarm integration — every step is deliberate and coordinated as a single system.
We do not piece work out to multiple contractors. Our team understands how each component interacts with the others — and why.
Professionalism on Every Job
Our installers are respectful of your property and your time. Hardscapes and landscaping in the path of installation are carefully removed and replaced. Irrigation is modified as needed. Work sites are kept organized and intentional.
They are also trained to document systems properly — mapping pipeline routes, marking clean-outs, and ensuring future serviceability.
When our team leaves your property, you don’t just have pipe in the ground. You have a system installed with long-term performance, maintenance, and protection in mind.
That’s the Dallas Drainage Pros difference.
